What is Emersons Yoga?
Welcome to Yoga ah’s advanced yoga training! Emersons Yoga was born out of 25 years of practice and teaching Ashtanga and Vinyasa yoga to the masses. It has deep roots in traditional Ashtanga yoga, with influences from Larry Schultz’s Rocket Yoga System and the teachings of Swami Satchidananda in the Integral Yoga tradition, which includes Restorative and Prenatal yoga.
The philosophy of Emersons Yoga extends back to the teachings of Krishnamacharya, which emphasize that yoga practices should be suitable and appropriate for the individual student.
Based on this concept, you will find routines designed to meet the needs of a wide range of students—from beginners to advanced practitioners.
Emersons Yoga seeks to support and nurture individual growth while also strengthening a collective of teachers and yoga practitioners. This program was developed as a holistic approach to yoga, providing support through different stages of life.
Our teachings are rooted in the ancient traditions of India, incorporating Sanskrit, pranayama, chanting, healing touch, and yoga nidra.

Formerly known as Rocket Yoga, we now offer a broader, more diverse program designed to be inclusive rather than exclusive. Our routines feature dynamic Vinyasa practices suitable for all levels, from advanced to beginners. Our founder, Amber Jean, studied with Larry Schultz for 11 years and has taught Rocket for 24 years. Through her experience of bringing yoga to the people, Amber recognized the need to make Rocket Yoga more accessible for day-to-day practice. Thus, she created the “Bottles,” or 1-hour versions of dynamic Vinyasa flows, each focusing on specific muscle areas.
