Healing with Yoga and Nature

I do believe that if one person is suffering we all are, if one person heals we all heal.

If you have ever experienced loss in your life you know you can not change the outcome of some situations. How can you quantify the relationships we have with other people and spirits? The human spirit is beautiful and complex with many layers. The human experience is a gift from nature, we are nature. Have you ever noticed that nature just happens?

From the wind rushing through trees whom effortlessly drop and change their leaves to all the stars in the solar system that have given light to our ancestors. Nature just is. If we can compare our life to nature we can have a better understanding of ourselves and our spirits. We have no control. The seasons change and so do we. If we are luckily we have moments in our life where time stops and we experience the essence of human existence, also called love. This essence or love is what is in-between us, space and time, between our thoughts and memories. We have no control and what was thought to be right becomes wrong and what we thought wrong becomes right. Because as we let go of control our world changes. Nature takes over and shows us the way. The way of moving in the rhythm of heaven and earth we gain a better understanding of the workings of the universe. This is where the seed of healing begins, letting go. Letting go of our pain, our illnesses and our suffering. Letting go takes many forms, yet the essence is the same and the healing begins from somewhere deep within. An understanding, great love grows and resonates in our whole being.

From my personal experience when Larry passed, I saw him as my everything, my father, friend teacher, and guru. I was in the room when he took his last breath and this overwhelming feeling came over me, knowing his form as I knew it would be forever changed and at the same time an ocean of gratitude came over me because through his death he gave me life. He gave me a glimpse of heaven on earth. Through sharing his sweet voice with me he shared all these amazing teachings and lessons that were like a garden of seeds laying dormant in my spirit he gave them water and sun. I give them dirt and love. It's been 3 years since I lost Larry and I feel that I am only beginning to understand my own healing process and how through my suffering I can help others ease there suffering. Love yourself, love yourself like you are a God from the heavens. Practicing letting go, we all live in the unknown. In the quiet moments feel your spirit. You are made out of love eternal. "Never dying, always changing" Gandhi, let the healing begin right now! Call to your spirit! It is right here. Bless YOU!!

Often people walk into It’s Yoga with worry, stress and tiredness written all over their faces but when they leave, they show the effects of Ashtanga Yoga: they feel better and look better, lighter, freer, more relaxed and energized. This is why to me, teaching Ashtanga Yoga is a kind of self-realization; every time I lead class I, as a teacher, grow and express the insights of my own yoga. I see people take in the practice from various angles and develop, change and transcend their limitations, realize their possibilities.
